How to tell your best friend her man’s no good
 Have you ever had the experience of meeting your best friend’s
new man, only to cringe at the thought of her being with him? Most
of us can probably relate to a situation whereby we have met our
best friend’s new partner only to realize that he is definitely not
Mr Right. The difficulty is however, attempting to find the best way
to alert your friend to this mishap, without hurting her feelings or
completely offending her.
Lets face it, most of hate it when other people question our
judgments, or tell us who they think is ‘right’ for us, after all,
how do they know without morphing into us and finding out. At the
same time, we also know that our closest and dearest often have a
pretty good idea of who we are, our likes and dislikes, our morals
and values and the ‘type’ of man we usually go for. So what do you
do when you think your best friend’s man is simply no good?
It’s important to take a look at your friendship and decipher the
type of relationship you have with your friend. We all tend to have
one close or ‘best’ friend, and may have other friends or
acquaintances we like to call friends, but who do not completely fit
within the term ‘friend’. Most of us who have a best friend often
find that we are extremely close, tend to share most if not
everything about our life, and tend to know one another very well.
In this situation, most of us would feel relatively comfortable to
express our opinion constructively in order protect our friend.
Then there are the scenarios whereby our best friend expresses their
undying love for this man, and goes on to tell you how they think he
is ‘the one’, how they can’t wait to have his babies, which is often
followed by the wedding plans. Of course, in these scenarios, a
spanner is thrown in the works, and our tough love approach to
protecting our friends goes out the window. How can you tell her
that her new man is not the right person for her without ruining all
her hopes and dreams; marriage plans and plans to reproduce?
